Hilton set to open Canary Wharf Lincoln Plaza hotel
Scheduled for a January opening, Hilton are set to open a new hotel under its Curio Collection brand in London’s eastern financial district of Canary Wharf. The Lincoln Plaza London will have 129 rooms, a 24-hour gym, 18 metre swimming pool, sauna and 465 sqm of event space across seven meeting rooms.
Located on Millharbour, the hotel is a mere 10 minute walk from the Jubilee line at Canary Wharf station, and just 5 minutes from the DLR at South Quay. Guests also have easy connections to The O2, the Olympic Park and ExCel Exhibition Centre.
The hotel will feature a range of food and drink outlets, designed by award-winning firm Design LSM. These outlets include pan-Indian restaurant, Mr Todiwala’s kitchen by chef Cryus Todiwala, and cocktail bar ‘Jack Speak Bar and Terrace’, provoking a nineteenth century British Navy Officers’ Wardroom.
Meanwhile, the hotel will offer three more dining and food options; a casual all-day dining space led by chef Rumel Pinnock, a Lobby bar and an organic store and wine shop.
The hotel bedrooms have been designed by RPW Design, and feature steel and brass furnishing and marble rainfall showers. The hotel interiors were highly inspired by Canary Wharf’s industrial heritage, with polished concrete floors, steel feature walls, and reclaimed materials such as railway sleepers.
Hilton have said the hotel “combines accessible luxury with a unique feel-good factor”. The hotel will also address sustainability concerns by banning plastic coffee cups and straws, and will purchase ethically sourced coffee from Mozzo.
Curio is Hilton’s four to five star lifestyle brand, with a London Stratford property planned for 2020.
